Veteran’s Banners

29567-veterans-banner-coverLeavenworth Main Street, in conjunction with the VFW Post #56 is proud to offer you the opportunity to honor a veteran or someone currently active in the military with a “Banner of Honor” to hang proudly in Historic downtown Leavenworth on one of our 51 available locations on Delaware St. Applications for the 2024-2025 Banners are available at Leavenworth Main Street office, 416 Cherokee.

Your $200 purchases a banner to display your military member’s image and include their bio in the 2024/25 Banner of Honor booklet.  The banners will hang for one year, November 2024- November 2025.  You have the option to renew for one additional year.  *Due to the city Holiday Decorations, The City of Leavenworth will take Veteran Banners down after the annual veteran’s day parade and rehang banners by January 15, 2025.

Accompanying the banners is a Banner of Honor Biography Guide and Location Map. Friends, families, and downtown patrons will read about each hero and learn the story of how they protected our freedom. The guides will be available at the Leavenworth Main Street office. Your veteran or their family members will also be invited to a special reception after the Leavenworth Veterans Day Parade on November 11, 2024.
