Leavenworth Main Street hosts many types of events and activities throughout the year encouraging people to enjoy our historic downtown.
Alive After 5
First Thursday (except July is the 2nd Thursday) every month March-December in 2024. Each month is a theme and participating business will have a drink offering (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a 1-2 bite food offering complementing the theme. Essentially it is a walking Happy Hour.
There is a $15 adult ticket and $5 child(3-12) ticket can be purchased online or at the LMS office and maps picked up at the Leavenworth Main Street office the night of Alive After 5. Check the Leavenworth Main Street Facebook page or the Alive After 5 Facebook page for more information.

Embark on a whimsical journey of floral wonder at this year’s Main Street Build A Bouquet event! Each participant will receive a map of participating merchants. As the clock strikes 10 a.m., let the treasure hunt for the most exquisite stems begin! Wander through participating shops nestled in our historic streets, where a bountiful array of blooms awaits. From vibrant daisies to elegant sunflowers, there’s an abundance of choices to embody your heartfelt sentiments! Pick up your map and jar on May 11th beginning at 9:30am at Haymarket Square Pavilion.

Safe Trick or Treat
Join us on Saturday, October 26th from 10 AM – 4 PM for a spooktacular time! Stroll through downtown and stop by participating stores for trick-or-treating fun. No map needed! This event is open to all stores, not just those on Main Street. Participating businesses will be decorated and ready to welcome you in for treats. Look for posts from your favorite spots on Facebook! We can’t wait to see all the creative costumes!

Look for stores displaying a Find Your Boo Flyer and hunt for 3 hidden little ghosts to unlock exclusive in-store specials! Each store has different offers, so happy hunting!
Visit 10 participating stores throughout October, collect stamps, and turn in your Boo Card at 416 Cherokee St by October 30th to enter for a chance to WIN $100 in Main Street Bucks!
Get your Bingo Card at participating stores, and don’t forget to turn in your card before October 31st. The winner will be announced on Halloween!
Sponsored by Lamborn Farms and the VFW, this event is perfect for all ages to show off their creativity! Carve or draw your favorite spooky design, and then get ready for a Facebook contest starting that afternoon!
Here’s how it works:
• There will be two categories: Carved Pumpkins and Pumpkin Drawings.
• Each entry will have a name attached, and it’s up to the people of Facebook to vote by liking or reacting to their favorite!
• The entries with the most likes/reactions in each category by Halloween will win the contest!
Winners in both categories will receive a Boo Basket filled with goodies and $25 in Main Street Bucks! The baskets can be picked up at the Main Street office.

Join us for our annual Holiday Open House and Ornament Giveaway on November 2nd from 10 AM to 4 PM in downtown Leavenworth!
Maps available to the first 200 people.
One map per family.
Must be in line to claim a map.
Map pick-up begins at 9:30 AM at the Leavenworth Main Street office.
Last map will be handed out at 2pm or while maps are available.
There will be a green map and a red map, each with 11 participating stores and ornaments.

ART WALK Shawnee Street– (Click the link to download the map) We have curated a variety of art found up and down Shawnee Street. Our map will allow you to explore Shawnee’s Art Walk and learn about the history behind some of the more prominent pieces. (From the comfort of your own home!) And, when some of the social distancing guidelines are lifted, come down and “Walk the Walk” downtown Leavenworth! *This doesn’t represent all of the wonderful murals downtown, but it gets you started!
